It’s important to note that with a manual transmission, both the gearbox and the clutch plates require regular servicing. Additionally, manual transmissions use gear oil, which typically needs to be changed every 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers, while the clutch plates generally last between 80,000 and 100,000 kilometers before replacement.
For automatic transmissions, fully synthetic transmission fluid is typically used. When checking the transmission fluid in a Dana gearbox, heat the fluid to around 50°C, then hold the gear selector in each position for about 2 seconds before shifting into Park. If the dipstick indicates a fluid level between the “Full” and “Add” marks, the level is normal; if the level falls below the “Add” mark, top up the fluid. Additionally, because automatic transmissions have a very compact internal design with tight clearances, the recommended oil‑change interval is generally every 2 years or after 40,000–60,000 kilometers.

If any loosening is detected, promptly tighten the fasteners and adjust the controls, and carry out necessary repairs.
